A person beforehand charged in a case of intimate accomplice violence was re-arrested in reference to an alleged kidnapping and tried homicide plot in Mississauga.
Muhammad Asif, 29, of Mississauga, allegedly used a firearm throughout an intimate accomplice violence incident on April 15, 2025.
Peel Regional Police stated a search warrant was executed on Asif’s residence and automobile, the place investigators situated a 9 mm handgun together with medicine.

Asif was charged with numerous legal offences, together with uttering threats, possession of heroin, cocaine, opioids and MDMA, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Authorities later recognized the accused as a suspect in a kidnapping that occurred on March 9, 2025, within the space of Burnhamthorpe Street West and Mavis Street in Mississauga.
Police re-arrested Asif on June 2, 2025. He’s been charged with kidnapping and tried homicide.
The accused was held for a bail listening to and returned to custody whereas awaiting trial.
