TORONTO – Max Scherzer allowed only one run over six innings and Davis Schneider’s early two-run bloop single helped the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-2 win over the Kansas Metropolis Royals on Saturday.
Schneider’s one-out hit to centre discipline scored Myles Straw and Tyler Heineman within the third inning because the Blue Jays (65-47) gained for less than the second time in seven outings.
Schneider scored on Bo Bichette’s single to proper three batters later for a three-run benefit. It was the primary of Bichette’s three singles within the sport.
The 41-year-old Scherzer’s solely blemish was a solo homer to left discipline by Salvador Perez, his twentieth, with two out within the sixth inning.
