Two injured after head-on crash between automobile, TTC streetcar


Two folks have been taken to the hospital — one with critical accidents — following a head-on crash involving a automobile and a TTC streetcar in Toronto’s downtown core early Tuesday morning.

Toronto police say the collision occurred simply earlier than 7:30 a.m. close to Bathurst Road and Robinson Road.

Reviews recommend the motive force of a Mercedes was travelling southbound on Bathurst Road when it struck a TTC streetcar head-on within the northbound lane.

Toronto paramedics advised CityNews two adults have been transported to an area hospital, one with critical, non-life-threatening accidents and the opposite with minor accidents.

It’s unclear whether or not the injured people have been contained in the automobile or aboard the streetcar on the time of the crash.

Bathurst Road is closed northbound from Carr Road to Dundas Road for the collision investigation.

Authorities are urging anybody who could have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact police.
