Josh Shapiro may be very fortunate to be alive. The Pennsylvania governor and his household escaped an arson assault within the early hours of this morning. Elements of the governor’s mansion have been badly charred, together with an opulent room with a piano and a chandelier the place Shapiro had hosted a Passover Seder simply hours earlier. Issues may have been a lot worse. The suspect, Cody Balmer, who turned himself in, would have overwhelmed Shapiro with a hammer if he had discovered him in his residence, he reportedly stated in an affidavit.
