White Home press secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded CNN retract a narrative on Sunday that claimed Senate Minority Chief Chuck Schumer and Home Minority Chief Hakeem Jeffries weren’t briefed on President Donald Trump’s strike on Iran.
Trump launched “Operation: Midnight Hammer” on Saturday and struck three of Iran’s key nuclear services in a shock assault. The White Home introduced the success of the assault later that evening.
CNN reported that Home Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Chief John Thune, each Republicans, had been briefed on the strikes forward of time, with Schumer and Jeffries, each Democrats, receiving notifications solely earlier than the general public announcement and properly after the assault.

Fox Information Digital reached out to Schumer and Jeffries’ workplaces for remark.
The CNN report added that Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., and Rep. Jim Himes, D-Ct., who’re members of the intelligence committees within the Senate and Home respectively, weren’t informed till after the strikes.
CNN did not instantly reply to a request for remark.
Each Schumer and Jeffries launched statements over the weekend condemning Trump for the strikes on Iran.

Though each criticized Trump for not searching for congressional authorization for the assault, neither claimed that they weren’t briefed or notified earlier than the precise strike.
