4-year-old bitten by mountain lion at nationwide park: Officers


A 4-year-old baby was attacked by a mountain lion at a nationwide park in Washington state, officers stated.

The incident occurred Sunday afternoon in Olympic Nationwide Park, close to the Victoria Overlook space on Hurricane Ridge, in response to the Nationwide Park Service.

The kid was bitten by the mountain lion whereas strolling with their household on a “standard path,” park officers stated.

Paramedics and park employees responded and transferred the sufferer through an air ambulance to a Seattle hospital, the place the kid is present process therapy, park officers stated Monday. No extra particulars on the kid have been launched to guard their privateness, park officers stated.

Following the assault, park rangers instantly started trying to find the collared cougar, which was positioned and dispatched Monday morning, park officers stated.

“There aren’t any present threats to the general public,” the Nationwide Park Service stated in a press launch on Monday.
