Pennsylvania is experiencing “intermittent” statewide 911 outages, officers confirmed on Friday.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Administration Company confirmed on social media there are “some outages” and they’re working to resolve the problem and restore service.
“Please solely name 911 for true emergencies. Don’t name simply to test whether or not it’s working,” the company stated.
The Philadelphia Police Division stated the outage is “intermittent” and that “some calls are nonetheless efficiently going via.”
The outage could affect that the flexibility of some residents to achieve emergency companies via the standard 911 system, police stated.
If residents are unable to achieve 911, police urge residents to name their native Philadelphia Police District instantly.
