Toronto police have launched photographs of a suspect in a hate-motivated assault investigation after an incident on a TTC subway final month.
Officers have been referred to as to Wellesley subway station on Monday, June 16, 2025 at round 12:37 a.m. after experiences of an assault.
Investigators say the suspect approached one other rider who was seated onboard the prepare.
“Unprovoked, the suspect made derogatory feedback in the direction of the sufferer and spat on him,” a police launch states.
The suspect then exited the prepare at Wellesley station and began strolling eastbound down Wellesley Avenue.
He’s described as a white male, round 30 years outdated and 5 foot ten inches with a medium construct.
He was final seen sporting a black baseball hat, black balaclava, blue jacket with a inexperienced paint stain, black pants with flip flops and carrying a duffel bag.
Police say the investigation is being handled as a suspected hate-motivated offence.
