The Meals and Beverage Affiliation of Ghana (FABAG) has introduced that costs of key commodities inside the sector are starting to fall, with additional reductions anticipated within the coming weeks.
Talking at a stakeholder engagement with the Minister for Finance, the Govt Secretary of FABAG, John Awuni, confirmed that costs of important merchandise corresponding to sugar and rice have began to drop.
“We now have diminished sugar costs by about 7% as of immediately, and rice costs have corrected by about 10%. As importers, we’re aggressively pushing costs down, however sadly, others within the worth chain aren’t responding,” Mr. Awuni acknowledged.
